We truly believe that through teacher continuous growth and development, schools can achieve student progress and even more importantly, an intrinsic passion for learning! When using the T-TESS evaluation tool how it is truly designed to be used, teachers and administrators will work together to meet the needs of every child on their campus. We work with teachers and students on a daily basis and understand that implementing T-TESS can be a daunting task. For that reason, we have researched and condensed the necessary resources for you to ensure you get the most out of the T-TESS evaluation process. We hope our TTESS Black Book will help you and your teachers be effective, reflective and save you time!
Do you feel like T-TESS has you stuck in a Black Hole? Are you merely surviving with T-TESS or using it to really provide professional growth and development for teachers? Three geeky principals spent a year unpacking T-TESS in a simplified, concise, user friendly format. The T-TESS Black Book, The Go-To Guide for Administrators, will make your life easier going forward. This may be the first time you have ever felt energized about T-TESS.
Meet Heather and hear her story about using the T-TESS Black Book!
The T-TESS Black Book includes valuable guiding questions that prompt in-depth dialogue between a teacher and the evaluator during the pre and post conference. Contained within the book are “look for’s” that are useful in helping to identify both a teacher’s strengths and areas in need of improvement. It gives the evaluator assistance in pinpointing and clarifying teacher ratings.

The T-Tess Black Book was extremely helpful when scoring walk-throughs and formal observations. The descriptors help determine what evidence to look for. It is well written and organized.

Leon Springs Elementary, Northside ISD
It has been very helpful during observations. I take information from the book and type it right in the observation template as needed.

T-TESS was designed to support/grow teachers. This T-TESS Black Book was designed to support/grow campus administrators! This little black book has allowed me to streamline the evaluation system. Best tool created for campus administrators. We LOVE it!

The T-TESS Black Book is the perfect "Go-T0-Guide" for administrators. It offers practical "look for" and wording to utilize as you write your evaluations. As a busy administrator, I only wish I had had this book to use as my guid when I first began implementing T-TESS. It provides the guidance you need when evaluating your teachers.
